Georgia’s Ambassador to Ireland, Giorgi Zurabashvili, issued a letter of appreciation to Tinatin Berdzenishvili, Director General of the Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB).

In his letter, the Ambassador praised the GPB First Channel for covering the charity event on October 30, which was co-organized by the Georgian diaspora in Ireland and the Georgian Embassy, as well as for preparing a story about the Georgian diaspora in Ireland.

“The attention to our compatriots who are away from home is important. GPB’s story shows this mindset,” the letter reads.

Giorgi Zurabashvili called the GPB film crew’s Irish Diaries, which explores Ireland’s national and cultural elements, “extremely fascinating,” adding that “it is a fantastic contribution to the strengthening of cultural and people-to-people ties between the two nations.”

“I would like to convey my appreciation to GPB for these vital state activities,” the letter reads.
