An opening ceremony has been held at Forlì International Airport to mark the launch of a new direct flight route between Tbilisi and Forlì. The first Georgian Airways flight was welcomed by Forlì Mayor Gian Luca Zattini and airport executives.

Georgian Airways began operating direct flights from Tbilisi to the Italian city of Forlì today. During the summer season, direct flights from Tbilisi to Forlì will operate once a week, every Thursday.

From 26 April, Georgian Airways will also operate direct flights to Rome’s Fiumicino Airport twice weekly – on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

This expansion means daily flights will now operate to Italy: three times a week to Milan, twice a week to Rome, and once a week to Forlì.

Forlì is an Italian medical resort town that offers visitors European-standard medical check-ups, rehabilitation services, wellness procedures, and thermal spa centres.

During the summer season, Georgian Airways will continue direct flights to other European destinations including Paris, Nice, Vienna, Amsterdam, Berlin, and Larnaca.

The airline notes that its European flights operate during daylight hours, providing additional comfort for passengers. Standard ticket fares include checked baggage.
