At the European Under-23 Judo Championship held in Chisinau, the capital of Moldova, the Georgian national team claimed the European Champion title in the mixed team competition for the second year in a row.
In a final, Georgia defeated France 4:3. After the score was tied at 3:3, Giorgi Terashvili (73 kg) stepped onto the mat for the decisive bout and secured victory with an ippon, earning gold medals for the Georgian U23 team.
The Georgian team competed with the following lineup: Nino Loladze (57 kg), Giorgi Terashvili (73 kg), Nino Tsiklauri (70 kg), Giorgi Jabniashvili (90 kg), Lizi Kvartshatsa (+70 kg), and Shalva Gureshidze (+90 kg).
