Georgia-Uzbekistan relations constantly developing, PM says

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili expressed his appreciation for the strong friendly relations between Georgia and Uzbekistan during a face-to-face meeting with Uzbekistan’s Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov.

He emphasized that their bilateral relations are rapidly developing, and the Uzbek Prime Minister’s visit is a testament to this.

“We have been advancing our relations in all areas. We will discuss this further at our extended meeting. Today, we will also sign a significant memorandum, an action plan and a road map outlining joint practical measures for the development of bilateral cooperation,” Garibashvili said.

During the meeting, the two leaders discussed friendly relations, highlighting cooperation in various fields based on mutual respect and collaboration.

The PMs discussed Georgia’s transit potential and the importance of developing the Middle Corridor, emphasizing the need to promote this transport route internationally.

The sides focused on reforms implemented in their respective countries. Garibashvili expressed Georgia’s readiness to further collaborate with Uzbekistan in sharing experiences and knowledge in reforms.
