Georgia, Turkmenistan to launch direct flights

Georgia and Turkmenistan will launch direct flights as the parties today signed a cooperation agreement, Georgia’s Economy Minister Levan Davitashvili said in Turkmenistan.

“Turkmenistan is interested in benefiting from Georgia’s trade corridor, which will swell cargo turnover, meaning about several million tons of additional cargo flow,” the Minister went on.

“Turkmenistan is an important trade partner for Georgia. We discussed the possibilities of deepening trade relations, removing barriers to Georgian products and greenlighting more Georgian products’ export there,” he added.
