Georgia to become WAIPA member

Georgia has become a member of the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA) through Invest in Georgia application.

This opportunity will strengthen the agency’s investment direction by sharing experience and best practices to attract and promote foreign direct investment into the country, the Enterprise Georgia reported on Monday.

“The World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA) is an international organization established in 1995 by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, that acts as a forum for investment promotion agencies (IPA), provides networking, and promotes experience sharing in investment promotion. Currently, WAIPA unites more than 170 members worldwide from 130 countries. The main mission of WAIPA is to facilitate and develop cooperation between its member agencies, share the experience of countries and regions in attracting foreign direct investment, and provide access to various data sources.

Enterprise Georgia will benefit from various opportunities, including the ability to share best practices, explore opportunities of new partnerships, and participate in various forums and seminars to further comprehend the newest tendencies in terms of global FDI,” reads the statement released by Enterprise Georgia.
