Georgia secures four medals in Greco-Roman wrestling U-20 World Championship
The Georgian national team secured four medals and claimed second place in the overall team standings at the U-20 Greco-Roman Wrestling World Championship hosted by Amman, the capital of Jordan.
Achiko Bolkvadze, competing in the 87 kg weight category, won the gold medal. Gor Ayvazian (97 kg) secured a silver. The team’s debutants, Anri Putkaradze (72 kg) and Data Chkhaidze (82 kg,) earned bronze medals each.
The Under-20 World Championship in freestyle wrestling also concluded in Amman, where Georgian wrestlers Giorgi Romelashvili and Giorgi Gogrichiani achieved bronze medals.
