Georgia, Romania sign joint declaration on parliamentary cooperation

The Georgian Parliament Speaker, Shalva Papuashvili, and the President of the Senate of Romania, Nicolae Ciuca, have signed a joint declaration.

According to the Georgian Parliament, the declaration aims to enhance dialogue and promote experience-sharing between the Parliament of Georgia and the Senate of Romania.

“The declaration outlines plans for deepening parliamentary cooperation in various directions, including organizing regular bilateral visits, strengthening ties between friendship groups and sectoral committees, providing professional development programs for parliamentary staff, and more,” Parliament states.

The declaration reaffirms Romania’s support for Georgia’s territorial integrity and its aspirations for membership in NATO and the European Union
