Georgia reports 888 coronavirus cases, 2,831 recoveries, 17 deaths

Georgia reported 888 coronavirus cases, 2,831 recoveries, and 17 deaths on Thursday, the official figures show.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 434 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 111 cases, and the Kakheti region with 88 cases.

A total of 21,620 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 19,218 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 2,402 were PCR tests.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 4,11%, while 10,92% in the past 14 days.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 1,639,678, among them 1,594,011 people recovered and 16,612 died.

As of today, 2,838,287 people got the Covid-19 vaccine, with 1,301 in a day.
