Georgia reports 865 coronavirus cases, 2,820 recoveries, 26 deaths

Georgia reported 865 coronavirus cases, 2,820 recoveries, and 26 deaths on March 9, the official figures show.

7,733 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 5,281 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 2,452 were PCR tests.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 430 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 115 cases, and the Kvemo Kartli region with 65 cases.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 11,19%, while 15,55% in the past week.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 1,629,930 among them, 1,570,884 people recovered and 16,456 died.

As of today, 2,827,920 people got the Covid-19 vaccine, with 190 in a day.
