Georgia reported 8 455 coronavirus cases, 18 206 recoveries, and 41 deaths on Thursday, the official figures show.
Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 3 548 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 1 438 cases, and the Kakheti region with 664 cases.
A total of 36 918 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 22 936 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 13 982 were PCR tests.
The daily test-positivity rate stands at 22.9%, while 26.71% in the past 14 days.
Georgia’s total case tally reached 1 584 454, among them 1 447 969 people recovered and 16 022 died.
There are 7 people quarantined, 5 096 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 781 asymptomatic and mild symptom patients are placed at the government-assigned facilities.
As of February 22, 2 808 278 people got the Covid-19 vaccine, with 2 901 in a day.
