Georgia reports 777 coronavirus cases, 342 recoveries, 9 deaths

Georgia reported 777 coronavirus cases, 342 recoveries, and 9 deaths on Friday, the official figures show.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 430 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region with 91 cases, and the Adjara region with 62 cases.

A total of 36 578 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 24 438 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 12 140 were PCR tests.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 2,12 %, while 2,09 % in the past 14 days.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 287 183 among them, 276 426 people recovered and 3 858 died.

There are 233 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 2 129 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 285 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.
