Georgia reports 7 482 coronavirus cases, 14 603 recoveries, 32 deaths

Georgia reported 7 482 coronavirus cases, 14 603 recoveries, and 32 deaths on Friday, the official figures show.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 3 272 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 1 266 cases, and the Kakheti region with 599 cases.

A total of 35 583 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 21 538 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 14 045 were PCR tests.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 21, 03%, while 28, 49% in the past 14 days.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 1 591 936, among them 1 462 572 people recovered and 16 054 died.

There are 4 people quarantined, 5 020 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 599 asymptomatic and mild symptom patients are placed at the government-assigned facilities.

As of February 25, 2 811 285 people got the Covid-19 vaccine, with 2 532 in a day.
