Georgia reports 688 coronavirus cases, 788 recoveries, 13 deaths

Georgia reported 688 coronavirus cases, 788 recoveries, and 13 deaths on Wednesday, the official figures show.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 295 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 126 cases and the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region with 69 cases.

Georgia’s total case tally now stands at 259 897, among them 251  077 people recovered and 3 221 died.

There are 487 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 2 384 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 292 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.
