Georgia reports 554 new COVID-19 cases, 252 recoveries

Georgia has reported 554 new cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) today, bringing the total number of infected people to 8118, according to stopcov.ge, a special webpage created by the Georgian government.

The 252 patients recovered from the virus in the past 24 hours, increasing the total number of cured persons to 4244.

Two more patients died of coronavirus in Georgia. The virus-related death toll stands at 50. The 41 people are brought from abroad for medical treatment. 1 100 persons remain at COVID-19 hotels.

Currently, 5 392 people are under quarantine and 836 more under medical observation.
