Georgia reports 513 coronavirus cases, 96 recoveries, 12 deaths

Georgia reported 513 coronavirus cases, 96 recoveries, and 12 deaths on Wednesday, the official figures show.

22,127 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 14,103 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 8,024 were PCR tests.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 264 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 78 cases and the Shida Kartli region with 44 cases.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 273,650, among them, 267,111 people recovered and 3,613 died.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 2,32 %, while 1.5% in the past 14 days.

There are 243 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 1,342 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 111 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.

Currently, out of 266 critical patients, 72 require mechanical ventilation.
