Georgia reports 508 coronavirus cases, 1,481 recoveries, 17 deaths
Georgia has reported 508 coronavirus cases, 1,481 recoveries, and 17 deaths on Thursday, the official figures show.
24 358 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 12 320 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 12 038 were PCR tests.
Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 252 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Adjara region with 61 and Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region with 48 cases.
Georgia’s total case tally reached 340 838, among them, 323 409 people recovered and 4 699 died.
The daily test-positivity rate stands at 2,09 %, while 3,77% in the past 14 days.
There are 48 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 3 965 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 668 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.
Currently, out of 891 critical patients, 218 require mechanical ventilation.
As of today, 125 601 people got the coronavirus vaccine.
