Georgia reported 3 988 coronavirus cases, 4 588 recoveries, and 49 deaths on Tuesday, the official figures show.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 1 699 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 658 cases, and the Shida Kartli region with 312 cases.

A total of 53 255 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 37 264 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 15 991 were PCR tests.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 7, 49%, while 7, 64% in the past 14 days.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 894 801 among them 840 985 people recovered and 12 826 died.

There are 34 people quarantined, 5 999 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 1 151 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are placed at the government-assigned facilities.

As of December 14, 2 324 131 people got the Covid-19 vaccine, with 10 948 in a day.
