Georgia reports 3 590 coronavirus cases, 1 955 recoveries, 67 deaths

Georgia reported 3 590 coronavirus cases, 1 955 recoveries, and 67 deaths on Tuesday, the official figures show.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 1 569 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 505 cases, and the Adjara region with 366 cases.

A total of 39 315 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 26 302 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 13 013 were PCR tests.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 9, 13 %, while 5, 67 % in the past 14 days.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 942 173 among them 904 903 people recovered and 14 009 died.

There are 48 people quarantined, 4 394 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 892 asymptomatic and mild symptom patients are placed at the government-assigned facilities.

As of January 4, 2 520 230 people got the Covid-19 vaccine, with 4 520 in a day.
