Georgia reports 3 567 coronavirus cases, 2 105 recoveries, 41 deaths

Georgia reported 3 567 coronavirus cases, 2 105 recoveries, and 41 deaths on Thursday, the official figures show.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 1 821 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Adjara region with 460 cases, and the Imereti region with 325 cases.

A total of 41 236 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 24 593 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 16 643 were PCR tests.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 8, 65 %, while 6, 18 % in the past 14 days.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 949 176 among them 908 813 people recovered and 14 082 died.

There are 55 people quarantined, 4 372 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 936 asymptomatic and mild symptom patients are placed at the government-assigned facilities.

As of January 6, 2 536 824 people got the Covid-19 vaccine, with 7 867 in a day.
