Georgia reports 25,161 coronavirus cases, 16,789 recoveries, 51 deaths

Georgia reported 25,161 coronavirus cases, 16,789 recoveries, and 51 deaths on February 9, the official figures show.

72,587 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 47,032, tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 25,555 were PCR tests.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 11,857 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 3,730 cases, and the Adjara region with 2 011  cases.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 34,66%, while 32,45% in the past week.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 1,375,615 among them, 1,141,231 people recovered and 15,351  died.

There are 41 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 6,036 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 1,901 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.

Currently, out of 1,252 critical patients, 290  require mechanical ventilation.

As of today, 2,759,753 people got the coronavirus vaccine, with 3,566 in a day.
