Georgia reported 240 coronavirus cases, 681 recoveries, and 16 deaths on Monday, the official figures show.
Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 86 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 37 cases and the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region with 28 cases.
Georgia’s total case tally now stands at 258 351, among them 249 709 people recovered and 3 194 died.
There are 474 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 2 676 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 268 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.
Currently, there are 569 critical patients, among them, 162 require mechanical ventilation.
