Georgia reports 19 049 coronavirus cases, 18 409 recoveries, 51 deaths

Georgia reported 19 049 coronavirus cases, 18 409 recoveries, and 51 deaths on Tuesday, the official figures show.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 8 972 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 2 854 cases, and the Adjara region with 1 317 cases.

A total of 56 531 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 39 936 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 16 595 were PCR tests.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 33, 7%, while 32, 01% in the past 14 days.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 1 480 841, among them 1 289 168 people recovered and 15 628 died.

There are 10 people quarantined, 6 017 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 1 309 asymptomatic and mild symptom patients are placed at the government-assigned facilities.

As of February 15, 2 779 761 people got the Covid-19 vaccine, with 3 593 in a day.
