Georgia reports 1,527 coronavirus cases, 4,588 recoveries, 46 deaths

Georgia reported 1,527 coronavirus cases, 4,588 recoveries, and 46 deaths on December 13, the official figures show.

21,264 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 13,922 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 7,342 were PCR tests.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 775 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 216 cases and the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region with 119 cases.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 7,18%, while 7,45% in the past seven days.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 890,813, among them, 837,263 people recovered and 12,777 died.

There are 35 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 6,138 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 1,183 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.

As of today, 2,311,840 people got the coronavirus vaccine, with 2,500 in a day.
