Georgia reports 13 288 coronavirus cases, 21 183 recoveries, 51 deaths

Georgia reported 13 288 coronavirus cases, 21 183 recoveries, and 51 deaths on Saturday, the official figures show.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 6 242 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 1 887 cases, and the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region with 937 cases.

A total of 47 640 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 28 888 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 18 752 were PCR tests.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 27, 89%, while 31, 94% in the past 14 days.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 1 539 493, among them 1 369 764 people recovered and 15 822 died.

There are 16 people quarantined, 5 703 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 964 asymptomatic and mild symptom patients are placed at the government-assigned facilities.

As of February 19, 2 794 933 people got the Covid-19 vaccine, with 3 009 in a day.
