Georgia reports 1,120 coronavirus cases, 4,905 recoveries, 61 deaths

Georgia reported 1,120 coronavirus cases, 4,905 recoveries, and 61 deaths on September 6, the official figures show.

16,149 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 8,840 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 7,309 were PCR tests.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 415 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 175 cases, and the Kakheti region with 147 cases.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 565,957, among them, 519,673 people recovered and 7,867 died.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 6,94%, while 8,19% in the past seven days.

There are 88 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 7,019 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 2,292 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.

Currently, out of 1,572 critical patients, 414 require mechanical ventilation.

As of today, 1,326,033 people got coronavirus jab with 16,298 in a day.
