Georgia reports 1,099 coronavirus cases, 800 recoveries, 10 deaths

Georgia reported 1,099 coronavirus cases, 800 recoveries, and 10 deaths on Wednesday, the official figures show.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 494 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 154 cases, and the Kakheti region with 87 cases.

A total of 21,281 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 2,180 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 19,101 were PCR tests.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 5,16%, while 12,39% in the past 14 days.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 1,638,790, among them 1,591,180 people recovered and 16,595 died.

As of today, 2,836,778 people got the Covid-19 vaccine, with 1,554 in a day.
