Georgia reports 10,230 coronavirus cases, 7,223 recoveries, 48 deaths

Georgia reported 10,230 coronavirus cases, 7,223 recoveries, and 48 deaths on February 23, the official figures show.

40,504 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 25,251 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 15,253 were PCR tests.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 4,305 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 1,662 cases, and the Kakheti region with 842 cases.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 25,26%, while 27,73% in the past week.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 1,575,999 among them, 1,429,763 people recovered and 15,981 died.

There are 7 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 5,252 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 835 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.

Currently, out of 1,156 critical patients, 278 require mechanical ventilation.

As of today, 2,804,965  people got the coronavirus vaccine, with 3,294 in a day.
