Georgia reports 1,296 coronavirus cases, 4,127 recoveries, 46 deaths

Georgia reported 1,296 coronavirus cases, 4,127 recoveries, and 46 deaths on December 20, the official figures show.

22,001 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 14,145 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 7,856 were PCR tests.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 600 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 197 cases and the Adjara region with 122 cases.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 910,456, among them, 863,076 people recovered and 13,16 died.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 5,89%, while 6.39% in the past week.

Currently, out of 1,430 critical patients, 314 require mechanical ventilation.
