Georgia qualifies for Olympic figure skating team final
Team competition in figure skating is underway at the 2026 Winter Olympics.
Georgia was represented by Nika Egadze in the short program. His performance scored 84.37 points, earning the team 5 points.
On February 6, in the rhythmic dance, Diana Davis and Gleb Smolkin added 5 points to Georgia’s total. Anastasia Gubanova earned 6 points, while Anastasia Metelkina and Luka Berulava contributed 9. With 25 points overall, Georgia finished fifth among 10 teams and qualified for the final for the first time in its history.
The teams competing for medals are: USA (33 points), Japan (32), Italy (28), Canada (27), and Georgia (25).
The medal round will begin with the free program, where Georgia will first be represented by Diana Davis and Gleb Smolkin.
