Georgia participates in international exhibition in Madrid
With the support of Georgia’s Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture and organized by the Rural Development Agency, a Georgian pavilion was set up at the Fruit Attraction international trade fair in Madrid, Spain, the ministry said.
The Georgian pavilion featured stands of blueberry-producing companies Geo Agro Estate, Niadagi Group, Agrolein, Gentry Investments, Agritech, Kolkhuri Kenkra, Agro Veli, Namiani 1 and Geo Organics.
The opening of the exhibition was attended by Giorgi Avaliani, Deputy Director of the Rural Development Agency, and Aleksandre Chkuaseli, Georgia’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Kingdom of Spain.
“Fruit Attraction is an important platform for showcasing Georgian-produced blueberries on international markets and creating new trade opportunities. Our goal is to support Georgian producers in presenting their products on international markets and finding new partners,” Avaliani said.
According to Chkuaseli, the participation of Georgian companies in international exhibitions is important as it provides an opportunity to showcase the quality and export potential of Georgian products on international markets.
He said the exhibition also offers an opportunity to establish new contacts and deepen trade relations. According to the ambassador, the Georgian Embassy welcomes and supports entrepreneurs in promoting Georgian products.
According to the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Mario Stetac, Chairman of the International Blueberry Organization, also visited the Georgian pavilion.
Fruit Attraction is one of the major international trade fairs for the fruit and vegetable sector and is held annually in Madrid.
