Georgia ranked the 56th place (score 50,62) in the Globe English Language Proficiency Index. Georgia is listed in the “law competency” group of countries and its position in the Europe region is the third from the end.

EF Education First released today the ninth annual edition of its EF English Proficiency Index (EF EPI), analyzing data from 2.3 million non-native English speakers in 100 countries and regions.

As part of the study, testing was conducted in each country. In Europe as a whole, those performing worst were Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Albania, Georgia, Turkey and Azerbaijan.

The global ranking is topped by Netherlands, Sweden and Norway. The last place goes to Libya.
