Georgia may be connected to European Energy Network by underwater electric power transmission line passing through the Black Sea.

Irakli Tkebuchava, a representative of Gross Energy Group Company told First Channel that preliminary technical-economic studies of the project are already conducted.

Building of the line connecting to Romania and Bulgaria is considered. Cost of the project will presumably exceed USD 3 billion.

Georgia-European Union Business Council supports concept of the project. Consultations are planned with representatives of executive authorities and international organizations.
