With the support of Georgia’s Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture and organized by the Rural Development Agency, Georgia is participating for the first time in the international Anuga Select India exhibition, currently underway in Mumbai, the ministry said.

According to the ministry, representatives of Georgia’s agri-food sector participating in the Georgian pavilion are presenting their export potential to international and local visitors.

Georgia’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of India, Vakhtang Jaoshvili, visited the Georgian pavilion, familiarized himself with the export capabilities of Georgian companies and pledged to support Georgian producers in establishing themselves in the Indian market and developing international partnerships, the ministry said.

“Anuga Select India is an international platform that brings together food and beverage producers, importers and distributors in one space. The presentation of the Georgian pavilion at Anuga Select India provides an important opportunity for Georgia’s agri-food sector to diversify its export markets,” the ministry said.
