Georgia launches production of NATO standard GI-4 rifles

A Georgian-Israeli plant opened at the Military Scientific-Technical Center Delta. According to the Georgian Defense Ministry, the plant will produce NATO standard GI-4 rifles.

The project was launched while incumbent PM Irakli Garibashvili was the Defense Minister. The rifles will contribute to equipping Georgian military units with modern weapons.

The plant intends to expand to export production and modernize other military equipment. Georgian Defense Ministry and Israeli company signed the agreement on production of NATO standard GI-4 rifles in May.
