Georgia has been quite represented at Madrid Summit, Javier Colomina says

We will continue to work on the Substantial Package, which is the main framework of our cooperation with Georgia on air defense, intelligence, crisis management, and cyber defence, NATO Special Representative for the Caucasus & Central Asia Javier Colomina told reporters.

“Georgia has been quite represented at the Madrid Summit. Prime Minister Garibashvili attended the second session of the Summit. We have spoken about the Black Sea region, as a strategic area for NATO. We reconfirmed the decision we took in 2008 in Bucharest and Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic aspirations. We have agreed on a tailored measures decisions package that includes several aspects of cooperation. We will continue to work on the Substantial Package, which is the main framework of our cooperation with Georgia on air defense, intelligence, crisis management, and cyber defence. We will also add a couple of new areas. We will increase the frequency of our exercises, and try to conduct them every two years, instead of three. It is important to say that we have trainings with very few partners, and that means the actual level of cooperation we have. We will stress the need to cooperate more with the European Union with regard to Georgia. In terms of how much attention this very historic summit has put on Georgia, I would say it is a quite success,” Javier Colomina stated.
