Georgia faces France in EuroBasket 1/8 final clash

One of the most memorable matches in the history of Georgian basketball was the clash against Lithuania at EuroBasket 2015. The reason is simple – it was the round of 16 of the European Championship. Today, the Georgian national team will once again play in the 1/8 finals, this time against France. The game will take place in Riga at 4:15 p.m. Tbilisi time and will be broadcast on the GPB First Channel.

The winner of the Georgia–France game will face Finland in the quarterfinals.

Georgia has never faced France in an official tournament match, though they have lost both previous friendlies.
