Georgia expects EC to objectively assess Georgia's progress, MP Bochorishvili says

EU Integration Committee Chair, Maka Bochorishvili, deems the next two weeks crucial as Georgia is waiting for the European Commission(EC) conclusion [whether to grant Georgia candidate country status].

MP Bochorishvili expects the European Commission will objectively assess Georgia’s progress since the EU/Georgia Association Agreement.

“This will give us a vision of Georgia’s integration opportunities into the European Union,” she said, adding that “it is paramount to provide as much information as possible to the partner countries about the expectations and help to establish an instrumental stance for Georgia in the partner countries.”
