“Georgia and China are becoming strategic partners,” the nation’s Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili said following the meeting between Chinese President, Xi Jinping, and Georgian Prime Minister, Irakli Garibashvili, in Chengdu, the capital of China’s Sichuan province.
Darchiashvili believes that the process of strengthening political contacts will become “more vigorous.”
“Trade-economic and people-to-people relations will also be strengthened, providing a new and powerful impetus for future cooperation between the two countries. This is a truly historic visit that hasn’t happened in years,” said the FM.
