Georgia marked the Day of Family Purity and Respect for Parents with public processions and religious services held in Tbilisi and other major cities across the country.

In Tbilisi, clergy members and parishioners gathered at 10:00 a.m. at Kashveti St. George Church before proceeding in a solemn prayer march toward the Holy Trinity Cathedral of Tbilisi.

At the cathedral, Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, Archbishop of Mtskheta-Tbilisi, and Metropolitan of Bichvinta and Tskhum-Abkhazia Shio III led the first festive liturgy. The service was attended by delegations from various churches, as well as representatives of the Georgian government, who addressed those gathered at the cathedral after the liturgy concluded.

In addition to Tbilisi, public processions were also held in Rustavi, Kutaisi, Gori, Batumi, Akhaltsikhe, Zugdidi, Telavi, Mtskheta, and Ozurgeti.
