The presidents of Georgia and Romania signed a declaration establishing a strategic partnership between the two nations on Tuesday in Bucharest.
Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili and Romanian President Klaus Iohannis reiterated their commitment to deepen political discussion and engage on a sectoral level, as well as their determination to develop their close collaboration into a strategic partnership.
The parties also pledged to expand communication and collaboration within international organizations and forums, as well as to deepen cooperation toward European and Euro-Atlantic integration.
The agreement also specifies that the parties will increase their collaboration on peace and security issues.
