General Prosecutor's Office detains two former employees of Republican Hospital, one individual entrepreneur

The General Prosecutor’s Office detained the former financial director of Nikoloz Kipshidze Central University Clinic (Republican Hospital), a former employee of the infrastructure department of the same clinic, and an individual entrepreneur with the charge of exceeding duties and producing counterfeit documents.

The investigation was launched based on the audit report of the Georgian Health Ministry, which questioned the agreements signed between the Republican Hospital and the individual entrepreneur in 2020-2021 on the value of reconstruction works carried out at the hospital.

According to the Prosecutor’s Office, all three detainees face 6 to 9 years in prison if found guilty.
