General Director of United Airports of Georgia: Kutaisi Airport entering new stage of development

“The 3.5-kilometer runway will enable us to accommodate wide-body aircraft, thereby opening up opportunities for long-haul flights, increased passenger capacity, and the commencement of cargo operations. This will propel Kutaisi International Airport into a new stage of development,” said Levan Moseshvili, General Director of the United Airports of Georgia, addressing the event celebrating the 14th anniversary of the Kutaisi International Airport and 10 years of WizzAir at the airport.

Levan Moseshvili focused on the related infrastructure, the significance of the airport’s development and future plans. He stressed that currently, flights into 32 direction among them 25 European, were implemented from the airport.

According to him, close cooperation with airlines and the addition of new destinations are among the airport’s key priorities.

Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Tamar Ioseliani, General Director of the United Airports of Georgia Levan Moseshvili, Executive Vice President and Chief Corporate Officer at the Wizz Air Group Owain Jones and representatives of the local government attended the jubilee event.

Various entertainment activities will be held at the airport for 1 week. In addition, special offers for passengers from partner companies will be available.
