Geka Geladze to become State Security Service head

Geka Geladze is set to replace Mamuka Mdinaradze as the head of the State Security Service.

The Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze announced during a briefing at the government administration. According to the Prime Minister, Geladze’s candidacy will be formally submitted to Parliament for approval during the upcoming sessional week.

Mamuka Mdinaradze has led the State Security Service since September 3, 2025. Geka Geladze has been serving as Minister of Internal Affairs since May 28, 2025.
