Grigol Gegelia, one of the leaders of Lelo – Strong Georgia, neither confirms nor denies circulating reports that singer Merab Sepashvili is being considered as one of the party’s mayoral candidates.

According to Gegelia, Lelo has strong candidates and consultations are currently underway.

“I can neither confirm nor deny anything. We have many good candidates and we will choose the best one,” Gegelia stated.

He added that Lelo’s plan is to fight.

“Always fighting against all kinds of injustice and under all conditions of injustice. I don’t remember when a fair fight was last held in this country. I remember one in 1919, and since then I remember very few fair fights, free elections, and apparently others have better memory and are driven by expectations of some other comfort. We are not driven by expectations of anything. We know that if we don’t fight, nothing will happen,” Gegelia declared.
