GD's Tsilosani: Radical groups are active and aggressive in Georgia, mirroring global trends as seen in US

“Radical groups have become active in Georgia. They consider aggression as a form of protest. It is a global concern, particularly evident in the case of the US,” said Nino Tsilosani, the Georgian Dream (GD) party member.

According to Nino Tsolosani, the attack on Donald Trump confirms that there are some groups which “blindly follow the ideology of radicals and fascism”, especially in democratic states.

“The assassination attempts of Donald Trump and the Slovakian Prime Minister demonstrate how the ideology they spread feeds people. This is the result of fascist, aggressive campaigns and calls, which is a burden for every country, especially democratic states,” she said.

Nino Tsilosani believes that the pre-election environment should be safeguarded from radical activities.

“For the last several months, we have seen how active radical groups can be. They applied to aggression, psychological terror and offences as a protest form against the law adopted by the parliament. This is a global picture and was expressed in the gravest form in the case of the United States,” she said.
