Tbilisi mayoral candidate Kakha Kaladze, representing the Georgian Dream – Democratic Georgia party, continues his pre-election campaign meetings with residents across the capital, the party reports.

On Sunday, Kaladze met with locals in Didube’s Mushtaidi Garden. Addressing the crowd, he outlined his vision for the city and spoke about the challenges facing the country.

“Tbilisi is even more special and beautiful these days. I am glad to meet so many people who express gratitude and support. Of course, we must fight every day to preserve the freedom and independence won by previous generations. This fight continues today – to protect the future and interests of our country and our children,” Kaladze said.

He stressed that while Georgia needs partners and friends, “friendship” cannot mean sacrificing national interests.

“Georgia is our family, and first of all, we Georgians must take care of it. We must not allow anyone to impose their interests on us and trample ours,” he stated.

Kaladze emphasized the importance of long-term peace, linking it to economic growth and prosperity.

“We will continue to fight to maintain peace. Without peace, we could not talk about the city’s development today. In recent years, many projects have been implemented in Tbilisi – parks, squares, recreational areas, road improvements, new kindergartens, health and social programs. But challenges remain, and the only force that can respond to them with dignity is Georgian Dream – Democratic Georgia,” he noted.
