GD's Matikashvili: Radical opposition represents betrayal, economic decline, and war
“The betrayal of the country and the terror faced by the population cannot be part of the European Union. The radical opposition calls for war and economic regression,” said Davit Matikashvili, the ruling Georgian Dream (GD) party member, during an interview with GPB’s First Channel.
According to Matikashvili, the GD symbolizes peace, economic progress, and development.
“The European Union is not synonymous with the opposition, just as Salome Zourabichvili is not synonymous with the National Movement. This is the truth that President Zourabichvili articulated. However, she voiced what she was instructed to say.
The EU and Europe are fundamentally incompatible with the radical opposition. The betrayal of the country and the terror experienced by the population cannot be part of the European Union. The radical opposition calls for war and economic regression. The GD stands for peace, economic progress, and development,” he stated.
