The ruling Georgian Dream (GD) party will hold Congress on December 30, the GD Chair, Irakli Kobakhidze announced.
According to Kobakhidze, political processes and preparation for the 2024 parliamentary elections will be discussed at the party meeting.
The Congress will approve the proposed membership of the Political Council staffed by Irakli Garibashvili, Kakha Kaladze, Shalva Papuashvili, Mamuka Mdinaradze, Dimitri Samkharadze, Tea Tsulukiani, Vakhtang Gomelauri, Tornike Rizhvadze, Giorgi Volski, Archil Talakvadze, Irakli Chikovani, Anri Okhanashvili, Nikoloz Samkharadze, Maka Bochorishvili and Mariam Kvrivishvili and GD Chair Irakli Kobakhidze.
The Political Council will no longer include Kakha Kuchava and Eka Tikaradze “who were not involved in the party activities,” as the GD Chair explained.
“The rest of the composition is unchanged. Previously, the political council was approved to have 21 members, now we reduced it to 15+1,” said Kobakhidze.
