“The United National Movement is trying to plan provocations since it cannot secure people’s mandate through democratic way,” said Shalva Papuashvili, Public Relations Secretary of the ruling Georgian Dream (GD) party.

According to Papuashvili, the evidence published by the State Security Service on October 29 clearly indicates the UNM’s disorder plan. He reiterated that ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili arrived to organize disorder in Georgia.

Papuashvili also noted that the UNM provocateurs in Zugdidi are mobilized fully. Commenting on a physical conflict at the N20 polling station in Zugdidi, he urged the police to react to the plotted aggression timely.

GD Executive Secretary Mamuka Mdinaradze added the UNM members committed gross violations, and subsequently, law enforcers detained several individuals. “The UNM has particular mobilization in Zugdidi. It seems that it lacks many resources elsewhere,” Mdinaradze claimed.
